Virtual Makeover

Architect Karyn Shore takes her Spanish-style transformation to the limit with a complete virtual makeover on a computer.

She cases the pillar bases in gray stone and lines the driveway and front pathways with the same material. The front door is repositioned to be centered underneath the archway and two lights are added to flank the doorway.

Shore adds wood rafter tails for an Old World look, de-emphasizes the white mass of the garage with a trellis covered in bougainvillea and builds a low stucco wall around the front yard. An ornamental wrought-iron gate at the curb provides the final touch.
