Have you found that the water temperature in your home is not quite the way you like it? Here's a quick fix. Every water heater has a dial on it that allows you to adjust the temperature up or down depending on if it's too hot or too cold. If it's too hot, turn it down a notch. Too cold, turn it up a little.

Remember to never set your water temperature too high - 120 degrees Fahrenheit should be the maximum. When you look at the dial on your water heater, you should notice a setting for vacations on the dial as well. Turn the dial to this setting when your family is going away for an extended vacation. These slight adjustment will help you save money on the utility bill.
