2. Disconnect the hot water supply line and place the end of it in a plastic bucket, then turn back on the hot water supply (figure A). If you've got good pressure in the supply line, then you know the problem is in the faucet.3. Hook the hot water supply back up, turn the water back on and check again to make sure the hot water still has problems. If so, turn the water supply back off and take apart the faucet.
4. Pop off the end cap of the knob with tweezers and remove the screw holding the handle on (figure B). It's a good idea to close the drain stopper. If you drop any screws and small parts in the sink, you don't want them falling down the drain.
5. Pop the knob off and unscrew the lid to the mixing chamber using the pliers. Wrap a towel around the fixture to avoid scratching the finish (figure C).
6. Open up the chamber and remove the top piece and inspect if for debris (figure D). If it looks clean, inspect the chamber inside the fixture using a flashlight.
7. Remove any washers or other parts with tweezers (figure E).
8. Clean the inside of the chamber with a cotton swab to remove any built-up gunk (figure F).
9. Spray the chamber with a water bottle to clear out any remaining debris. Inspect carefully once more to make sure everything's clear.
10. Reverse the steps to reassemble the fixture. Turn the water back on and test the fix.
