Faucet problems? Ed Del Grande has the answer to solve two common faucet annoyances.

For leaks, get the faucet's make and model; then buy the appropriate repair kit at a hardware store (about $15). Next, remove the faucet's existing ball, packing, and springs, and replace with the ones from the kit.

If the problem is low water pressure, try cleaning the aerator (the small piece at the tip of the spout). Unscrew the piece from the faucet, remove any debris, and replace it. If the problem remains, the faucet probably needs a plumber's help.
