Create a textured river rock treatment using simple techniques for a durable finish.
Materials:

featured ceiling paint (4 coats of semi-gloss Ralph Lauren Hoop Red #SP06A)
Stay Clear low luster acrylic sealer
Ralph Lauren River Rock paint (Granite Falls #RR06C )
painter's tape
roller/tray

Steps:

1. Tape-off any areas not to be painted. Roll the first coat on in small square areas starting in the top corner of the wall and move down to the baseboard to create columns of painted blocks. Repeat until the entire wall is coated with the first layer. Let dry.

2. Use a brush and crosshatch motion to apply the second coat, filling in the areas to add more texture to the walls.

3. Allow the paint to dry for a couple days, and then add the clear sealer. This will change the flat look to high gloss but the color variations are still present plus it won't scratch and can be wiped clean.
