Steps:
1. Tint primer so it's close to the suede paint color and apply it as the base coat. Let dry.
2. Load a brush and cut-in around the ceiling and wall edges in a 2' x 2' area. Roll in the square in a zigzag fashion, filling it in as best as possible. Move down to the next two-foot square area and do the same thing until the vertical strip of wall is filled in. Move over and continue in this fashion until the entire wall is covered. Let dry (expect to see some of the base coat paint showing through).
3. Load a four-inch brush and crosshatch over the wall, starting in an upper corner as above (top to bottom, left to right). This action gives some areas a darker color and makes others seem lighter, just like suede.
