Figure A
Materials:

Durable Colors (Khaki satin or semi-gloss)
Decorator Glazes (Linen White and Silver Leaf)
paintbrushes
Decorator Neutral Wall Glaze
palette knife
painter 's tape
cotton rags

Steps:

1. Base-coat walls Khaki and let dry.

2. Mix three glazes (one of 20 percent neutral glaze/80 percent Silver Leaf, one of 50 percent neutral glaze/50 percent Linen White and one of 50 percent neutral glaze/50 percent Silver Leaf).

3. Brush on random patches of the first two mixtures plus smaller patches of the third (figure A). Blend/pounce the colors together with a rag held like a large rose until there are no isolated color patches (reposition/change the rag as needed). Continue process across the wall and let dry.

4. Dip a rag in the 50/50 Silver Leaf mixture and pounce the excess off. Add random patches over the wall to pick up more light by enhancing the metallic qualities.
