Materials:
Soft Tex
AquaColors paint (Ochre Yellow, Autumn Brown, Earth Green, White)
three 1/2" stencil brushes
stainless steel trowel
stencil (small Florentine Scroll #700S)
AquaBond paint (Off White)
sponge
Steps:
1. Apply two base coats of Off White, allowing it to dry between layers.
2. Mix Soft Tex with a few drops of Ochre Yellow. Apply the mixture over 100 percent of the area with the trowel held almost flat. Use a sponge to flatten any raised areas. Let dry.
3. Mix more Soft Tex with Autumn Brown. Apply mixture as above covering 70 percent of the area. Keep the material flat and hardly raised off the surface. Let dry.
4. Use a small amount of Earth Green and light pressure to stencil the design where desired. Add Autumn Brown and Ochre Yellow (blending each color together) and remove stencil. Repeat with each design. Let dry.
5. Mix Soft Tex with white and apply the mixture over entire surface with a raised blade to smooth the finish and soften the colors.
