Create a word border using a phrase in various fonts for an additional themed detail.
An art band can take the guesswork out of how high to hang artwork or how to put together a collage because almost any place you hang something is all right because it's within the boundaries of where the art belongs. It also allows you to use three -dimensional, theme-related items. A band can be created using stencils, different paint colors and textures, wood trim or wallpaper borders.

Materials:

yellow wall paint (product code #3101B01 Aqua Pearl pastel base, color #2019-50 )
paintbrushes/rollers
stencil burner
acetate
stencil brush or dabber
stencil paint

Steps:

1. For the artwork band/border around the room, hold and measure the tallest poster in its desired location and paint a horizontal stripe a few inches larger around the room. Let dry.

2. To make letter stencils, print the phrase in the chosen size in different fonts using a computer. Place acetate over the words and use a stencil burner to trace along the letters (be careful with circular letters and don't completely cut out the inner circle or you'll lose the integrity of the letter).Be sure to put the words next to each other along the acetate for easy stenciling.

3. Repeat the procedure for a design to go between each phrase (a star in this case).

4. Stencil along the areas of the band where the top and bottom paint colors meet (figure A). Let dry.
