To Hold Foam Brushes:

Keep brushes neat and prevent paint from getting on things it shouldn't by taking a small length of 2" x 4" with holes drilled in it two to three inches apart (make sure the holes are the same diameter as the handles of the foam brushes). When not in use, stand brushes up in the holder.

Use a block of floral foam or plastic foam in the same way--especially with brushes that don't have round handles. Press the handle down into the foam for a custom holder (figure A).

To Keep Stored Paint from Skinning:

To avoid a layer of hardened paint from forming, tightly close the lid on a can of paint when done with it. Then, turn the paint can upside down for just a second. This will cause a layer of paint to seal any small cracks between the lid and the can to prevent future skinning.

For Easier Spray Painting:

Attach a trigger to a can of spray paint to eliminate the need to push the button with your finger (figure B).
