Paint gets stuck in the rim of the paint can and then, when you put the lid on , it dries and the lid gets stuck. You end up with dried-out paint on the edge. To stop this: When you open a new can of paint, use a nail or hole punch to make holes around the rim. The excess paint will drip back into the can and not dry out on the lid.
