Tips: Paint Products

Carol Duvall Show : Episode CDS-212 -- More Projects »
  • Cut a common kitchen sponge into a 1" x 3" piece. Bevel one edge, and clip a clothespin on as a handle for an instant paint brush.
  • To eliminate the film that appears on acrylic paint as it dries, spray a paper towel with a mister until it is slightly damp.
  • Place a piece of cardboard underneath the paper towel, and apply paint directly to the paper towel. The moistened towel keeps the paint from drying.
  • If you're pouring paint and don't have a funnel handy, hold a pencil lengthwise against the rim of the paint can as you pour the paint. The pencil will direct the stream of the paint.
