Materials:
damaged table
1/4" glass
grease pencil
pictures from an art book, wrapping paper, wallpaper, etc.
craft glue
sponge
painter's tape
latex enamel paint
foam brush
paper towels
window cleaner
Steps:
1. Have glass cut (sand the edges) to fit the top of the table. Place it on the table and arrange cut pictures over the damaged spots for placement.Trace around them with the grease pencil and add more designs as desired.
2. Turn the glass over and apply a generous amount of glue to the underside where the grease marks are with your fingers. Position the pictures so they face up on the underside of the glass using the grease marks as a guide and press out air bubbles with your fingers. Use a damp sponge to remove most of the excess glue and let it dry completely.
3. Use a wet paper towel and window cleaner to remove the rest of the glue.
4. Apply painter's tape in stripes across the underside of the glass.
5. Use a foam brush to apply two coats of paint to the underside between the tape stripes, allowing it to dry between layers. Let dry.
6. Remove tape and place the glass on the tabletop.
