Hosts Matt Fox and Shari Hiller work on the outside of a home, changing it from yellow to green, adding shutters and incorporating new landscaping to the exterior design. Hiller narrows down the exact siding shade by first eliminating the colors used on neighbors' homes, taking pictures of favorite houses and using a paint chip palette. She suggests using a pure white for trim on a cool-colored house (blue or gray) and soft creamy whites on everything else. Finally, she chooses the accent colors for the shutters and doors.
