Make an instant collection with craft boxes, colorful spray stain and fun drawer knobs.
Materials:

unfinished wood boxes
spray stain
painter's tape
fine sandpaper
craft knife
marking pen
tack cloth
polyurethane
drawer knobs
short screws or heavy-duty glue

Steps:

1. Sand boxes if necessary and wipe with tack cloth. Drill a hole in the top for the knob.

2. Mask areas that won't be stained and spray in desired color. Wipe the stain into the wood with a rag. Let dry and remove tape.

3. To embellish the box, cover it completely with painter's tape and draw a design in desired areas. Cut the tape to expose the areas to be stained another color and spray. Let dry and remove tape.

4. Coat finished boxes with polyurethane and let dry.

5. Attach knobs to the tops with glue or screws.
