Stamped/Embossed Candles

Embellish plain candles using stamped designs colored with ink to match any style and decor.
Materials:

candles (dark and light in color)
stamps
heat-set/quick-drying ink (copper , black, rainbow inkpad)
yarn or raffia
beads
paper towels
cotton swabs
scissors
makeup sponges
heat tool
rice or mulberry paper

Steps :

Dark Candles

1. Lay the dark candle on a folded paper towel to keep it from rocking. Heat the candle area to be stamped until it appears wet.

2. Let candle cool slightly until the heated area clouds over, and then quickly hold the stamp in the wax for a few seconds and carefully rock it until it releases easily from the candle.

3. Use a makeup sponge to lightly rub ink across the stamped areas for contrast .

4. Embellish with yarn/raffia and beads.

Light Candles

1. Cut the paper to fit around the candle and 1/4 inch shorter than the candle 's height). Stamp black designs onto the paper and heat-set them as directed.

2. Use cotton swabs to add color to the patterns.

3. Lay the stamped paper on top of the candle and hold it tight while heating wax with the heat tool until the paper melts into the candle.
