This bed used to be white--now it's a metallic work of art!
Guest Robin Reed's from Country Sampler's Decorating Ideas magazine shares how to bring life to ordinary metal objects. This project is from the October 1997 issue of Country Sampler's Decorating Ideas magazine.

Ideas:

  • Spray over the object for a speckled, burnished look.
  • Use metallic creme paint and a stencil brush to add interest to curtain rod finials, metal planters, a wrought-iron bed frame, etc.
  • For metal objects that have a shiny finish, first prime it, then paint as desired.
