Displaced Bath

New Spaces : Episode NWS-1006 -- More Projects »
The Linen family is ready to trash their old bathroom. The main problem: a tub that's installed "sideways." Not only is it inconvenient, it's dangerous! Before someone has a nasty fall, they want to remodel. With a toddler and another baby on the way, the pressure is on to find a solution. So, they hire designer Kristie Sandoval to solve their bathroom dilemma.

First they demolish the old space, tearing the walls down to the bare studs. They rotate the tub to a more accessible position and white ceramic tile encloses the new bath area. Marble caps off the vanity and tub surround. A new entrance to the master bedroom creates a master suite effect. But the choice of fixtures is what really brings this project to a head.
