Kathleen and Joseph Zbacnik have been spending a lot of time at home since they created a tropical getaway in their Southern California home. They were looking for a comfortable place after losing a home to fire. When they spied this Mediterranean outside San Diego they knew they had found the perfect place to create their dream home.

The casual atmosphere is perfect for hosting everything from a hot dogs on paper plates evening to fine dining on china. The gas grill is built into a custom tiled counter that also features a sink.
