Glass cabinet doors make a big difference when it comes to lightening up a dark kitchen.
Kitty Bartholomew and craftsman Jim McCarthy show how to give plain kitchen cabinet doors an elegant look by replacing their centers with glass inserts.

Steps:

  1. Take each door off the cabinet, remove the center panel and take the frame to a glass store to have glass cut to fit. Be sure the edges of the glass are sanded.
  2. Run a bead of caulking around the inside of the frame and smooth it with your finger .
  3. Insert the glass, press down and insert glazing points to secure.
  4. Run another bead of caulk around the glass.
