Curio Display

Display favorite possessions in a cabinet made from leftover items.

wooden box
paint
paintbrush
sandpaper
scrap wood molding
scrap wood for top and bottom trim (should be about 3/4 to 1" thick)
saw
measuring tape
pencil
decoupage medium
photocopies of sheet music
finish nails
hammer

Steps:

1. Clean and paint wooden box.

2. Tear photocopies of sheet music. Brush decoupage medium on the pieces and arrange them on the inside. Once the area is covered, apply another layer of decoupage medium .

3. Cut molding to fit as shelves and paint it to match the box. Nail shelves into place in desired pattern.

4. Trim the top and bottom of the box using scrap wood (i.e. a vanity door cut in half) cut slightly larger and paint it to match. Hammer in place with finishing nails once dry.

5. Place collectibles on shelves.
