The owner of this ranch-style house has lived in the home for many years, but she feels that the house looks out of place in her Boston neighborhood. Her goal was to transform the house into a classic shingle-style home, while at the same time adding extra space. Architect D. Christopher Royer's design added 1,500 square feet to the home for a total of 4,900 square feet.
After nine months of construction, the home now has a new second story. As part of the remodel, each member of the family has a beautiful new bedroom. The upstairs master suite features a gorgeous balcony with a breathtaking view. The kitchen, like most of the other rooms in the house, has been updated and opened up for a more spacious feel.
