Armory Park del Sol

This new development in Tucson is expected to become a role model for homebuilders around the country. A home construction company has joined up with Tucson Power to create Armory Park del Sol, a community literally heated by the Sun. Located next to one of the city's most vibrant historic districts, the park will feature 99 single family homes when complete in three years. Solar energy will generate electricity and heat both household water and the home itself. Armory Park will also utilize reclaimed waste water for outside irrigation.
