Patch A Wood Floor

Real wood floors are warm and attractive, but when the topcoat finish wears off, the wood is susceptible to stains. If the stain soaks into the wood fibers, it's impossible to scrub it out. The only option is to replace the stained section of flooring. This is easily done with a circular saw, a drill, and a chisel.

Products Needed: oak strip flooring (tongue and groove)

Tools and Materials Needed: power drill and spade bit, safety glasses, circular saw, carpenter's glue, wood chisel, hammer, pliers, scrap plywood, wax, some heavy books, stain (optional)
