Window Films

Dream Builders : Episode DRB-1206 -- More Projects »
Sunshine flowing in windows can be an asset, but too much sunlight can discolor floors and fabrics and dramatically raise room temperatures. Homeowner Brad Lyon found a new technology to limit the sun without obscuring the view. The window shades or films made of polyester are almost invisible yet block dangerous UV rays and reduce solar energy. In this week’s field notes, we’ll talk more about the films, how they work and see how they are installed in the home. It’s a great way to bring in the sun without getting burned.
