The homeowner wanted an unconventional space, and since he also runs a business out of his home the urban location was ideal. The goal of the remodel was to create a comfortable home out of the office building while retaining the prairie landscape outdoors.
Architect Steve Mooney's added many interesting architectural elements to the building, including a loft space over the two new bedrooms and a cedar arbor over the back patio. The exterior has a modern look with clean lines on the front. The back yard has an architecturally interesting fence and cedar arbor covering a new hot tub. Inside, the living areas are very contemporary. Both bedrooms have lofts accessed by steel ladders and the kitchen features a blue glass tile back splash.
