House on the Rocks

Most homeowners build their house with a scenic view in mind. Other homeowners make the scenery part of their home. A couple of houses in Utah are taking advantage of the rocky local landscape by building their houses into the rock.

One local home has found its place in between two massive boulders that act as structural walls. Another is built into a mountainside with soft colors and unique design that flow into the rock. The homeowners discuss the rough-hewn lifestyle that comes from living in the rocks. Also a local builder talks about what it takes to build a house with one or more walls already standing.
