Known as Scotty's Castle, this Death Valley, California, residence was once the home of prospecting legend Walter E. Scott. The home, built by Chicago millionaire Albert Johnson (Scott's longtime friend), was designed as a haven from "big-city life." It eventually became Scott's full-time residence.
