Potomac Overlook

Dream Builders : Episode DRB-1003 -- More Projects »
When a Washington, D.C. couple bought a 1940's row house on the highest cliff in Georgetown, they weren't aware that the rear wall was close to tumbling down. Architect Mark McInturff quickly responded to the couple's cry for help and saw an opportunity to make the home stronger, bigger and more livable.

First, he and the builder reinforced the structure with steel beams and piers that descend 60 feet into the earth. After that was complete, the re-build team crafted a new three-story rear addition that would give the couple more living/dining space and an expanded master suite. The result is a stunning blend of building and design, greeting guests with light-filled spacious rooms. Every window offers one-of-a-kind views of the Potomac and nearby Arlington, Virginia.
