Although incredible lake views lie just outside John and Eileen's 400-square-foot sunroom, they couldn't enjoy them because inside, leaks had caused water damage to the ceiling and windows. It also affected the upstairs sitting area just off the master suite. Eager to create a structure more in line with renowned architect Ernest Mayo's original design for the home, they decided to tear it down and start over. Here is what the crumbling porch looked like before...

...and here is the stunning new two story addition. Inside, large floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the room with daylight while outside, elegant limestone columns face the lake. Although the footprint of the sunporch remains the same, upstairs the beautiful new sitting area has been enlarged 200 square feet, finally matching the size of the first floor and fitting with Mayo's original intent.
