power drill with titanium bits
screwdriver
awl
safety glasses
replacement window crank kit

Steps:

1. Put on the safety glasses and drill out small hole if old screw shanks broke off (figure A).

2, Switch to a larger bit and bore a hole for the size of screws used in the new window crank kit (figure B).

3. Attach extension arm to crank mechanism and turn handle to extend arm. Slide guide wheel of extension arm into the track on the bottom of the window frame (figure C).

4. Secure crank mechanism to window frame (figure D).
