Antique Buffet Bathroom Vanity

1. Use the carpenter’s square to center and line up the template that came with the sink on the top of the buffet ( figure A). Tape the template down.

2. Punch guide marks at the crosshairs on the template (figure B).

3. Use the pattern wheel to trace the outline for your sink cutout (figure C). Use just enough pressure so the pattern wheel leaves indentations in the top of the buffet.

5. Use a marker pin to draw an outline for the sink cutout on the buffet top (figure E). Follow the indentations made by the pattern wheel.

6. Unscrew top and remove from the buffet so you can install a plywood reinforcement on the underside of the top. Cut a piece of plywood to fit on the underside of the top and surround the area where the sink will fit and also over the area where the fixtures will mount.

7. Run a bead of wood glue along the perimeter of the plywood and screw to the underside of the buffet top with wood screws (figure F).

8. Reattach top to the buffet.

11. Use the paddle bit to bore holes for the fixtures (figure H).

13. If you had to remove drawers to make room for the sink, cut off the fronts and mount to the buffet (figure J).
