Help Around the House host Henry Harrison shares some tips for adding some sheen to a dull terrazzo floor. On his elbow grease scale of one to four, Harrison gives this project a one.

Steps:

1. Scrape away any built-up of materials from floor using a plastic scraper (figure A). Using a metal scraper may result in streaks on the floor.

2. Mix cleaning solution according to manufacturer’s directions. Using a mop, cover the floor with cleaner (figure B).

3. Use a scrub brush to remove stubborn yellow stains (figure C).

4. Mop up cleaner, rinsing the mop often in a bucket of clean water.

5. Allow the floor time to dry, then apply a sealer. Pour sealer into a paint tray and apply to floor using a roller (figure D).
