Bryan Ashby

As host of Building Character, Bryan Ashby combines his lifelong passions for history, architecture and travel. A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Bryan was raised with an appreciation of antiques and fine woodworking.

Favorite childhood activities included visiting flea markets, auctions and traveling to historic landmarks. Now adult pastimes, Bryan says these experiences provide insight into how homeowners combine the past and the present when making homes out of commercial structures.

Bryan is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he majored in Communication Arts and Theatre. Over the years, he has made a career in regional theater, commercials and voiceover work. Bryan has received numerous awards for his professional accomplishments.
