Architect Michael Hauptman came on board to help Mintz turn his ideas into reality. Mintz' profession as a cardiologist encouraged his attention to detail, down to such touches as the night deposit box that now serves as the mail slot. Edward Marolda of the Naval Historical Center provided information on the bank's former customers and came up with archival photographs depicting the building's history. Mintz' conversion has preserved this building's history and made him a very satisfied homeowner.
