Removing Mildew Stains from Siding

Tools:

ladder
bucket
hose
brush
measuring cup
safety glasses
gloves
bleach

1. Put on the safety glasses and mix up a bleach solution using a 3-to-1 ratio of bleach to water.

2. Wet the siding with a garden hose, then scrub the siding with the bleach mixture (figure A). Pay particular attention to the areas under the lip of the siding.

3. Work on a small area at a time, and rinse the area thoroughly with the hose before moving on (figure B).
