Steps:

1. Clean all debris from the area and remove any old footings. Tamp the ground down with a 4x4 if you need to dig out an old footing and fill in the hole.

2. Decide where you want the shed and dig a hole for the first footer pad. Use a torpedo level to make sure the block is level (figure A). Install three concrete footer pads for each 4x4 support beam.

3. After locating the first two pads, use a length of string and the 3-4-5 right triangle to mark the position for the next two rows of pads (figures B and C).

4. Turn the adjustment bolts on the cradles to level each support beam from side-to-side (figure D).

5. Use a long 2x4 and a level to make sure the three beams are level with one another. Adjust them if necessary.
