Concrete and brick are sturdy and look great, but occasionally require cleaning. Basically all you need for this is a good stiff-bristled brush and some water. Avoid using a wire brush as it can scratch bricks and concrete and might leave rust stains.

Use a heavy-duty cleaner for specific stains such as gum or tar. These cleaners are toxic, so be sure to wear gloves and eye protection.
