Dipping a hammer handle in liquid rubber creates an instant grip.
Hosts Pat Simpson and Jodi Marks explain how to create a rubber grip on tools.

  • Dip metal, plastic and wood tools into liquid rubber to create an instant grip (see image). Be sure to wear gloves and work in a well-ventilated area. Allow the excess to run into the can. Hang the tool to dry with paper towels beneath to catch any drips.

  • Dip keys in liquid rubber for easy identification.

  • Coat any threaded bolts on playground equipment in the liquid rubber.

  • Repair frayed rope ends by dipping them into the liquid rubber.
