Our first segment opens at a 1920s Cape Cod house, where host Scott Horst compares restoration with renovation and tells how to decide what your house requires. Then , at the Restoration and Renovation 2000 tradeshow in Boston, Hiram Ball gives a lesson in space age "stone molds." The show's director, Ellen Glew, is introduced; and Paul McGinty explains the importance of using the correct old floor tiles. Next, New England cabinetmaker Stephen Cabbitt demonstrates his art.
