Q: Is it better to feed birds year round or only during the winter months?

A: Most experts say year round, but the experts don't help you buy the bird feed, says Paul James.He prefers to feed from about November to March when natural food supplies are scarce. He is concerned that birds may lose the ability to forage on their own if humans feed them all year long.
