Q&A: Shrubs

Grow It! : Episode GRW-206 -- More Projects »
How can I get my shrubs under control?

If a shrub outgrows its space, clip it back at the leaf nodes. Remove some lower branches so the shrub won't get too round. After making a few cuts, step back and look at the plant from a distance. Selectively prune branches to keep the plant looking natural. Be sure to prune plants during the dormant season for that species.
