• Get estimates from several arborists so that you have some points of comparison. Also consider referrals from friends.
• Verify that the arborist has up-to-date insurance coverage, with liability and worker's-compensation provisions. It's a good idea for the company to be bonded as well.

After cutting down large trees, most companies will take care of the cleanup work by hauling off the larger pieces and shredding the smaller limbs.
