• Got a large pot without drainage? Don't make it heavier filling it with gravel, instead take a small plastic pot, turn it upside down and place it on the bottom of the heavy pot.

• To dice onions quickly and easily, cut off the ends and cut a crisscross from top to almost bottom. Lay the onion on its side and slice rows. Pieces will fall off in little squares.
