This device (pictured) is essentially two sprayers in one. You can get a soft stream for precisely watering potted plants, then with a flick of a valve you can switch from a soft stream to a soft spray that simulates a gentle rain. This device also features a quick-connect hose-end connector that shuts off the flow of water when the unit is disconnected.

A telescoping sprinkler connects to your hose at the base of the unit. You adjust the height of the sprinkler head and legs, then turn on the water. It has a solid brass impulse head that is fully adjustable, and it waters an area up to 106 feet in diameter (approximately 8,500 square feet).

If you need to deliver water directly to the root zone of trees and shrubs, a watering rod is the gadget you need. Insert the rod into the soil around the drip line of trees and shrubs. Leave the rod in place for several mintues, then move it 12 to 18 inches, until you've completely watered around the tree. The rod delivers water precisely, and there’s no water loss due to evaporation. You can even use it to power wash your car!

Do you struggle through shrubs to get to one of your faucets? Then you might want to consider a faucet extender. All you do is connect the extender’s 10-foot hose to your faucet and stab its galvanized steel stake into the ground beyond the range of your shrubs. From that point on, you’ve got an easy-to-reach faucet.
