Q&A: Starting Plants

Grow It! : Episode GRW-208 -- More Projects »
How can I get my plants started indoors before it's warm enough to plant outside?

Start a grow table to get plants started early. Plants should be given a heat source (such as an electric cable) that radiates heat from below. Plants also require humidity, so they should be misted daily. Trap humidity by encapsulating the entire table in plastic. Place a light source eight to 10 inches away from the plants to complete the setup.
