After looking over the three design plans, the couple decides to use the expertise of Stephen Prassas. His design creates four distinct outdoor spaces that expand on the function of the interior rooms. An outdoor patio starts just off the living room with plenty of space to sit, mingle and enjoy the view. For privacy, they build a trellis made from steel beams and cedar slats and cover it with stretched canvas. The rich red patio furniture is a great complement to the rusted steel of the pergola. Zinc metal planters match the look of the iron trellis and are used throughout the garden.
