Heather Munoz and Mark La Pedes feel lucky to have a beautiful rooftop terrace with spectacular views of downtown Chicago. The only problem is that the outdoor area isn't much more than a slab of concrete. They would like to create a stunning garden that extends the indoor living space of their condo and takes advantage of the incredible city views.
Before: Lack of Green
Instead of a yard with grass, Heather Munoz and Mark La Pedes have a 1,400-square-foot expanse of concrete that's bigger than their condo and six stories up from the street. They love their amazing terrace, but they're intimidated with how to design the large space. In addition, there are 26 units above them so the lack of privacy is a big problem.
