Nashville
Secret Gardens Of... : Episode SGO-604 -- More Projects » In this episode, we visit four gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Museum of Art is a 55-acre site, which includes the original Cheek gardens, with pools, fountains, statuary, extensive boxwood plantings and breathtaking views of the rolling Tennessee hills. The garden of Connie and Ed Wissing is tucked away in a hillside. Blooming with tangerine roses, yucca and Japanese maples, this garden has intimate little rooms and spaces and a stone wall with surprises. Pam and Tom Wylly have a charming Southern garden. Native crossvines drape over stone walls, revealing themselves as chameleons that change their color in the sun. Just outside of Nashville, Danny Beasley created a garden so open and free-flowing that it resembles a city park in design. In the center of the garden, there is an enormous Norway pine that once served as the family's Christmas tree. On the lawn, bunnies can be seen enjoying the garden, and handmade crafts decorate the garden in country charm.
