Private Golf Course

Rex and Pam Lightfoot of Kauai, Hawaii, have taken a grand-scale approach to landscaping their 11-acre property by creating their own private golf course! Rex and Pam began by cutting away acres of thick underbrush (leaving most of the large trees on the property), revealing an expanse of vibrant green grass ideal for golfing. Then Pam set to work designing the planted areas of the course, which feature a gorgeous abundance of native Hawaiian flora. The property, which took four years to complete, is now the site of a weekly golf get-together for Rex and his friends.
